As social beings living in an extrovert-focused world, we are socially conditioned to believe that isolation is punishment and negative. However, Daniel’s darkly liberating work offers us a gift in the form of a new idea about isolation here. This painting was inspired after an soul-jarring break up left him with the unique opportunity to engage in shadow work.
